THE MICRON SPINDLE UNIT FAMILY represents the latest state-of-the-art technology for ultra-precise (0.002 mm positioning repeatability) metal cutting processes. In its construction, in addition to rigid hydrostatic bearings, it features secondary dual backlash-free carriage bearings, a subsequent quadruple cylindrical column vibration damping support, and unrivaled “Double Drive” servo motors with dual servo thrust, resulting in a superior design free from chatter. Thanks to these features, its main advantages include ultra-positioning accuracy, prevention of quill exit deflection, vibration damping, and extra rigidity under heavy cuts.
With through-tool coolant technology supported up to 80 bar, it delivers unmatched results in cutting processes involving sticky, high-ductility materials (such as stainless steel and aluminum, etc.). In addition, with its standard pull-stud feature, Micron units provide users with extra ease of use.
