THE DDM-65 MODEL UNIT FAMILY,as the name suggests, incorporates all the advanced technology required for machining micro-sized parts. This unit family offers options ranging from 12,000 rpm to 100,000 rpm, enabling the precise machining of small parts, including drilling operations as small as 0.1 mm diameter. By nature, the unit provides extremely precise working characteristics, with 0.004 mm positioning repeatability.
It represents the most advanced technology in today’s micro-machining processes. As standard, it features hydrostatic bearings. With its unique design, the DDM-65 is equipped with high-precision servo motors (4,000,000 pulses/rev), high positioning accuracy, and a double cylindrical column vibration damping support, ensuring superior stability and performance. This unit family stands out with its ability to meet all requirements for high-speed machining
Thanks to its wide operational speed range, the DDM-65 delivers results that fully meet expectations even in difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel, copper, and aluminum. This model covers various unit types:
• Units operating with single-spindle linear motion on the Z axis, • Dual-spindle units performing linear and interpolated motions on the X and Z or U axes, • Triple-spindle units performing linear and interpolated motions on the X, Y, and Z axes.
• Units operating with single-spindle linear motion on the Z axis, • Dual-spindle units performing linear and interpolated motions on the X and Z or U axes • Triple-spindle units performing linear and interpolated motions on the X, Y, and Z axes. In addition to the standard X, Y, Z axes, four-axis interpolated machining is possible with the inclusion of the A (angular) axis. Furthermore, if the spindle is servo motor-driven, simultaneous 5-axis machining can be performed.

In terms of tool-holding systems, standard ER8 and ER16 collet spindles allow for practical and cost-effective use without requiring additional tool holder investment. The DDM-65 Series units are designed for the production of parts with tight tolerances. With their architecture composed of high-quality components and the technical advantages they provide, these spindle units offer an average economic lifetime of 10– 15 years, ensuring cost efficiency throughout their service life.
